Minimum lift needed for 255/85/16s

I was just wondering if anyone knew what the minimum lift would be to fit a set of 255/85/16s on a 2nd gen with FJ TRD rims (4.5" BS). The UCAs shouldn't be an issue at all, and I'd think that you could stuff them easier too. As narrow as they are I wouldn't think it would take much, and I don't mind trimming. I also wouldn't mind a little rubbing with them fully stuffed.
The actual tire might make a big difference, too. The KM2s appear to have a pretty rounded tread profile, while the Toyo's and Cooper's look like a flatter/more boxy profile.

I had mine on stock height for about 2 weeks and it rubbed a little on the mudflaps and some in the inner fenders if I really bottomed it out. I have a first gen though.

I would go with about 2" of lift to fit those tires.

 

I'm at 2" of lift in the front. Some have run them with no lift a all.

 

Thanks for the quick replies guys! That's exactly what I needed. Being able to run them at stock height is a big plus, because I want to get them on before I decide which lift, if any, to go with.

 

If you wheel you shouldn't rely on lift for clearance unless you do a drop bracket or spindle.

 

Yeah, I'm trying to keep my COG as low as possible.
