Minor mishap a couple weeks ago, does this NEED to be repaired?

    I'd get a 2021 fixed. I assume you have insurance. It shouldn't cost too much out of pocket. If it were on my 2007 I might just drive it.

    In fact I have a small dent in the top of my tailgate where my SIL backed into something with the tailgate down a few years ago. I looked around for another white tailgate from scrapyards. If I could have found one that didn't need to be painted at a decent price I'd have bought it and just swapped the tailgate. But after months of looking I didn't find anything. I don't even notice it now. But had my truck been another year or 2 newer I'd have paid to get it fixed.
