Minor oil leak? really cant find it!

so how many caps are ther on one head in the rear? 2 ? i re sealed the ones that a recessed in the head...are the big halfmoons that come up and out the head reamovable? if so i think this is where it is leaking.

what are the two circles in the back? does that big hump come out?

 

pics man... hard to explain something that technical with out pics. should just be one in the back and one in front from the pic i posted???

 

sorry about that...i resealed those but i still have some kind of leakage from the big round hump on the top cam...........it is not from the valve gasket but from the somewhere under that round hump....i cant upload pics at moment.sry

 

ok i gotcha now... did u put sealent at both of the bases of that hump? this drastic angle change is where the gasket can leak.

also if it is coming from beneath that hunp on the front? thats your cam seal.

 

ok i did put a little on those corners and it is on the back driverside....could this be my head gasket...i thought when those go bad you engine overheats and you get moister in your engine....do these go bad alot?

 

no head gaskets dont leak very often... and know just cuz it may be leaking oil doesnt mean its leaking coolant or compression.

can u verify its the head gasket tho? that seam is much further down than the bottom of the cam

 

i know where that is i just checked it it is def. not far enough down to be head gasket....maybe it is still coming from the valve cover? do you know of anyother place it could be back there in that area?

 

other than the half moons or the points on the sides of the caps... i cant think of another area????

ordered my cam seals today should come in tm and hopefully stop the leak..

 

would the rear cam plug be leaking? does it often leak on the v6?
