SR5 is a power package (Power windows/locks) and this is all manual. I wish I had access to TIS (Toyota Info. System - dealer only) and I could run the VIN for you. NOT an SR5 based on the info. The seller probably doesn't even know that so he's just shooting at the moon trying to get it to book heavy so he can prove the 'value' in the asking price. Haha. Just breathe the right one will come around. Its fun to shop.

    I know! I know!
I asked a couple of used local lot dealers where do you get these asking prices from?
these trucks look like garbage the way they have been kept
they could not disclose their determination to me o_O

    ....
    its now at $8100

All commercial dealers typically use the Black Book. I think there's a pay to play option with Black Book too? Used car manager with whom you do business regularly or maybe a relative will ...sometimes...access the valuation programming …for a friend. Getting to be too few of these to gat good pricing across volume of sales I would suspect. Many at both extremes of condition, poor or excellent also skews the analysis I suspect.

    its now $5400

I looked at the pics and AGAIN a listing claiming SR5 when it has no power windows, locks, carpeting, striping, etc.
WTH is the deal with these sellers and their accuracy

I fell out of the loop here as I've been out of commission for a bit. Anyhow, truck is back up for sale. I needed it in the last month to move places, but now it's just taking up space and deserves to be used.

I just read through some of the chatter. I will be as upfront and open about the truck as I can. Thats how I conduct personal and professional business. If you have any questions and are serious, PM me and I will answer. Some people have said this is not a SR5, paint looks too new, manual truck with Power locks and windows, etc....

BAT suggested this would sell at $10k. It had a $10k reserve and hit in the $9's. I will take first $10k. Anyone who sees this truck, drives it themselves will understand.

Again, any questions I can answer for those that are serious, please ask.

Google magic plus VIN lookup above says it’s likely a DLX with SR5 options.

    Either way, gorgeous truck.

I’m sending this my friend that is looking, but I’ll hopefully clear up the SR5/not SR5 issue. In 95.5/96, an SR5 would have had sport bucket seats and would be the likely candidate for things like a sunroof, disc in dash CD player, and power options. Power options are a package and could be had on an LX. For anyone looking, this is most likely an optioned out LX. The thing to be aware of is that it could, you will have to decode the door axle code, have 3.91 gears and not 4.10’s. That may not be an issue for all buyers, but it is something to be aware of. I think the price is reflective of what the market is giving at this time and I will be sending it over to my buddy now.

The VIN check stated it was baby blue originally and I could guess when the Original owner had the frame sprayed he had it painted black as well, with no pinstriping. The paint is in excellent condition which is why it would be hard to explain what happened.

Still has the blue-gray floor mats and the 4x4 instruction card!

She lives In MD now and is going to get a nice coat of FF in the fall for the nice salty winter.

i just recently removed the plastic liner on my '97 that has never been off in 265 months!
... currently in the works in getting a LineX liner
there was only a minimal amount of surface rusty spots underneath on the rails (bedliner scratching) from where I mighta sprayed some salty junk up under there during some winter(s) at the carwash
it has often been piled high with snow and ice back there until it melted and slid out
the spray-in liner is going to save a huge amount of money to repaint and restripe it
