What would everyone's dream camera be?

    Nothing outrageous, but honestly realistic.

For me it would be when the Fuji X200 comes out IF it has:
    33mm f/1.8 lens (50mm equiv.)
16-20mp sensor (I DO NOT want a high MP sensor, I value low light more than anything)
Tilt/Tap-to-shoot Touch Screen (like the Olympus E-M1)
    Sensor shift IBIS
    Improved AF, EVF, sensor, etc
    1/8000ss and base ISO 100

That's all really. Better battery life and weather sealed would be nice but not necessary.

What about you guys? :D if you could frankenstein some features to make a dream camera what would it be?

After spending a few weeks with the E-M1, I'm convinced that it's the best out there for me. The AF performance, speed, lens lineup, is all amazing. Where I used to have to give my old T3i time to catch up, this thing takes anything I can throw at it! If I had to make a few improvements though:

*I'd love a more substantial grip. My pinky hangs off. Looking into the JB Designs grip. Supposed to be light and should get the job done.
*I'd like to be able to turn the camera on and off with my right hand.
*I wish the screen was fully articulating, not only for my viewing pleasure, but *I'd like to be able to have it face the body for protection and so my face doesn't rub/smudge it when using the amazing EVF.
*It'd be nice if in addition to the focus peaking and MF magnification, there was a focus confirmation "beep" and focus point showing what is in focus.
*I can't figure out how to show a B&W shot preview of my raw files as I take them. I also can't extend the length of the playback preview on the display.
*The time necessary to capture the noise reduction frame after a long-exposure shot is kind of a pain. This is especially problematic for star trail stitched photos.

Everything else is spot on and I'm pumped to continue building the portfolio! BTW, if anyone wants to follow my instagram, my username is pacificexposure

The right hand thing really took a long time for me to get used to with the E-M1.

You can turn on the focus beep and little green square to confirm your focus lock in the menu. I turned the sound off and the green square on when I had one.

You can also preview B&W by selecting (I don't remember what it's called) the option with a weird name OR maybe it was the color wheel feature but I think that was separate. I used to shoot in B&W live, so I could see what it would look like from the start, and then my RAW files would be normal so I'd post process them back to B&W, but I know it's possible. That was one of my favorite things about the camera.

You observations are pretty spot on with what I found as well.
Honestly the E-M1 dials and whatnot felt perfect. I am testing the X-T1 now from Fuji and while the buttons on the rear are no good the low light performance is better so . . . I'm really torn ha they're both such amazing cameras. I think if I ever did micro4:3 again I would just pick up that tiny E-M10 and the 12, 25 and 45 primes and be done with it but I think I'm sticking with Fuji. We'll see. Glad you're enjoying the camera, man! The lenses are great for m4:3, especially the tiny primes.

Some VERY low light photos out of the X-T1. Single light in each.

And this last one in low light but not as pitch black as the one above

    Handles low light very well.

Ordered Sony's 55-210 last night :D. I have been watching prices on it and reading reviews for awhile. Kinda spontaneous but I needed something with reach for the summer.

I'm trying to sell my Nikon mid-zoom. Once I got my hands on primes I don't think I'll ever go back. I get it for ultra wide and ultra-tele lenses where you can't just move your feet, but for anything in between I'm really enjoying the creativity my primes are inspiring. Not to mention their cost/size/weight/sharpness.

I really like my 19mm sigma. I am getting the zoom for fly fisherman and animals. I might be able to sneak up on elk or moose to get a shot but you wont catch me running around the river with someone casting :p. That's a quick way to get hooked and piss off the fisherman for scaring off all the fish :p.

    just finding this thread
ive owned several Canons and Nikons but mirrorless camera are my favorite.

    first dslr Canon ti-1,
    Nikon d200
    Canon D-50
    Olympus EPL-1
    Nikon d300
    Panasonic GF3

1st mirrorless was an Olympus Epen pl-1, loved it but wanted something bigger.

Next setup was a Nikon d300 setup, wife hated it, to heavy to lug around

Now rocking the Panasonic GF3 and love it, touch screen screen and live view. took it to the bahamss in January and my wife even got in on the fun.

i dont think i'll ever own another mirrored camera. i even chose the panasonic over the Nikon V1 or the canon M.
    I'd love a Fuji x100 or even the X10.

Nice, man! Olympus OM-D and Fuji X are the two systems that appeal to me, personally. That's a beautiful photo!

Jesus look at all the nobs and writing :). I like that the NEX-6 doesn't come off as intimidating. I am pretty confident I could hand it to a stranger and they wouldn't look completely lost. Now if I was handed that camera before I knew anything I would probably hand it right back

Haha what's funny is that's the only lens I have that doesn't have an aperture ring also. It's just the ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed and all can be set to Auto. Oh, and the EV dial I guess.

Someone came up to me and said, oh, you're shooting film, huh? haha I took it as a compliment :)
