Solid shot, wouldn't have thought you took it in undesirable conditions. She has a great smile!

Well gentleman of the mirrorless fraternity, I am leaving your midst.

After two months with the OM-D E-M1, and some great results, I decided to go back to the EOS world. I sold the E-M1 and lenses for nearly exactly what I paid for the kit, and bought a used 6D, 24-105mm f4L and 28mm F1.8. At the end of the day, the limitations in low-light IQ, and the ergonomics in my larger-than-average hands just made it too much of a sacrifice for the same cost as a pro-sumer FF. This is my first full-frame, and I'm pretty excited to see what it can do!

Should have went Fuji :D haha jk man. Different tools for the job. Both have their advantages and what's important is that you find the tool that fits you the best. I'm glad you got most of your money back and you found something that makes you happier/fits you better. You can still come around once in a while . . . I guess. haha

Long story short my NEX 6 took a crap. Probably due to my dog pulling it off the table. Anyways, the cost for a repair through Sony is a flat rate of $300. That includes shipping and a 90 day warranty. I don't feel like paying that much and not having a better warranty so I am looking at spending a few hundred more and picking up the A6000.

Good call man. The AF on that thing is pretty top notch. VF was a bit disappointing but no biggie at all.

Haha that plus the 11fps...insane. I ordered a black body last night...took about 4 hours going between the black and silver. I am now officially broke for the summer but at least I can capture the pup growing up and the trips I have planned.

Well, i'm going to be joining the mirrorless community pretty shortly and need some help choosing a lense. I'm pretty set on a Sony A6000 and leaning towards a Sigma 19mm.

I plan on shooting a pretty wide variety of things but mostly outdoors, nature, landscapes, moving energetic puppies, trucks, ect.. What do you guys suggest for a decent, affordable lense?

Enjoying the 11fps. :). Still figuring out the auto focus but so far the A6000 is a good upgrade from the NEX-6

Tried to go out and shoot the milky way but the clouds didn't want none of that. I ran out to shoot the moon coming up though.

Now that i have a hardcore Fuji guy and someone here with my first choice, any possible ways to discuss the merits of the Fuji X-M1 and the Sony a6000? Aside from pixel count and EVF whats the pros and cons? It will be my wife and I's travel camera, offroad, camera, and my wife's food blog camera. . . Thanks gents, neither of us have any real experience with nicer cameras but want to get something that we dont outgrow too quickly. We will more than likely take a class or two once we have the camera to get the most out of it and its functions and settings.

Or should i be comparing the X-E2 to the a6000? If i went with the X-E2 i would try and find a used one to save some money.

I don't know if you're still looking but it boils down to AF speed vs lenses for me.

The a6000 has ridiculously amazing AF but pretty mediocre lenses.
The X-E2 has epic lenses and IQ, but mediocre AF speed.

Choose your pro and con that you can live with.

Anyone still out shooting these regularly?

I'm shooting my first wedding in a week! All Fuji, all day and night ha. I'll let y'all know how it goes. I picked up a backup body and tele prime to round out my kit for the wedding. Should be a good time.

    back to bone stock.
    i've been squirreling away money.

i am all over the damn place choosing a camera. i sold all my Leica and Hasselblad FILM stuff and felt blessed there were still buyers for that market.

SO...i have a soft spot for Leica, and almost walked into a store to fondle a V-Lux.

but to be quite honest..Fuji and Olympus seem to have caught my attention. i like a viewfinder.

seems the Olympus OMD EM10 fits the bill..

i want interchangable lenses..start off with a wide angle-ish zoom. while i save up for a lens collection.

i shoot a wide variety of stuff. outdoors stuff..hunting and fishing. food.

    super confusing.
