Hello everyone.I have a 99 3.4 4x4.Got a engine light. It was for #5 misfire. I did a tune up,new coils. Ran fine for a while. Engine light came back on for misfire possible injector. I replaced all six injectors. Now lean on bank 6 as well as misfire and running real rough. I want to fix problem and not throw money at it. I did buy injectors on ebay .I miss driving my Taco!!Help please.

    That'll be your first mistake!

    What code(s) were thrown?

    What are your fuel trims?

I would be willing to bet your next week's pay cheque that a set of OE injectors will fix most, if not all the issues. Did you use OE coils? What brand of plugs?

What brand coils? Denso / OEM are acceptable- everything else is questionable.

Unless you can verify the ebay seller as a genuine parts vendor, they are likely sub par quality. If you still have your original injectors, you can send them to MotorWest for serving. They also sell an "upgrade" injector kit at a much more reasonable cost than the OEM injectors, which is rated highly on TW (I run them myself).

Thanks. In my gut was leaning towards getting better injectors.

Definitely concerned about the injectors; replace them w/ OE, and if misfire codes persist, probably going to have to look at the coils as well. Since you're only getting a bank 1 lean code, it might be worth swapping the injectors bank-for-bank; if the problem moves to the other side, you know for sure.

I fixed a misfire code, can't remember which one with new plugs and new wires. I didn't think my truck would make it home it ran so rough.
