Yeah got it all done last weekend. Runs great! Guess I still didn't get enough sealer olnext to the power steering pump cause I got a small oil leak coming from just under the pump.. Otherwise everything went back together nicely. Toyota engineers things to be pretty straightforward to work on, ive always appreciated that. Pretty sure the reason the leak by the PS pump it cause it kinda pulls on the cover a little

My leak for the time being is fixed... i pulled my 4000lb boat a few miles, and have gone through a tank of gas and the leak seems to be fixed. Cleaned the engine with brake cleaner and carefully put the sealer on the engine just above the power steering pump. I am often checking it to make sure i didnt miss a little spot but so far it seems good.

What did you use to seal it? My leak is all under the pump. I figure I'll take it off to clean and seal everything

Your dad is a smart man - it's great stuff. Not perfect for every application, but a good improvement where regular grey or black RTV are specified for sure.

Good to hear to you got your issue resolved and running well again.

Did you remove the oil pan when you removed the timing chain cover?
