I have a 1997 with the 2.7 5 speed. My engine keeps misfiring, itll either lose power or itll run like complete crap. I've replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coils and checked all the grounds that I know of (the one on the firewall and the one on the negative terminal of the battery) the code I'm getting is p1300 which says igniter circuit fault bank 1, but I'm almost certain I dont have an igniter circuit as that's for a distributor and I dont have one? Any ideas would help! Thanks in advance!

I'll just assume you gapped the plugs properly. ..and tightened them down properly (ground connection).
Only thing left in my mind is the fuel system. Filter, injectors, pump - in that order.

Sounds like an injector problem to me. You didn't mention how many miles are on the engine, but if it's the original one it's most likely the #3 injector.

The engine itself is almost new with less than 30,000 miles. I bought it directly from toyota brand new. So when I did the swap I changed the injectors too so they're new as well. but the body has 325000 miles on it.

Are you sure you don't have an igniter? It should be mounted above the passenger side front wheel well area.

If the computer doesn't get the signal back from the igniter verifying that the coils are firing it stops firing the injectors. That could account for the lack of power and misfiring.
