2011 TRD Sport 4x4 Double Cab

took truck to transmission shop and said i have a P0300 code but the CEL isn't on. I can kinda feel a choppiness when accelerating. any suggestions? and also should i take to stealership to fix or a mom and pop shop(if i can't fix it).
