This morning I started my 2007 Tacoma and realized I was not going to make it home due to lack of power... cylinder drop out. I have a stick so I didn't notice any drag. I turned around very close to where I started ,and when I stopped I realized my parking brake was on. Would the parking brake cause this? I simply released it, started it and it ran fine. The check engine was flashing before, but now all is good.

driving with the parking brake on will definitely make it seem like the truck is sluggish. Your rear wheels are working harder to turn.
