After my truck had been misfiring for around a month, I changed all four spark plugs (not wires) and immediately noticed a decrease in fuel economy. Although the truck ran smooth for 3-4 days, it has returned to misfiring every time the truck is stopped while running. The misfires actually seem to be more intense, and more frequent than before the plugs were changed.
Does anyone know what might be causing the misfires? any help would be greatly appreciated.

do you have a CEL? spark plugs also need to be gapped. Or at least checked. Could be a number of things.
