You definitely want the fan temp sensor on the lower hose.

Of course. The problem is (and he rightfully diagnosed from the beginning) u need air through the condenser for the AC to have an semblance of operating at an idle. As long as u correctly leverage the bypass on the controller, it’s no issue.

so it wouldn’t matter for top or bottom? The sets up so far have been at the top not bottom and that was my plan.

I’m debating if I want to try the Mishi over the CSF. Not sure if it’s just the combined heavy truck and s/C but I have had nothing but heat issues since. Especially the trans (swapping for a new trans cooler soon with a fan)

Mishimoto is a rebrand company like CX Racing.

I’m interested to see if OP gets improvements or not. Their stuff can be pretty hit or miss.

What about AFE? Or do they not have any 3rd gen stuff?

We have 2nd gen, but i still haven't put mine in yet. Debating on 2 or 3 gallons of coolant? Too many other projects. Maybe this year

Depends on if you fully drain the block. I think I bought 3 and used 2. Yah AFE maybe. But also hoping it’s not the radiator

Haha nice! I have that patch somewhere. I think this is the last of the Pelfrey stuff minus some random stickers. Totally unrelated to radiators but it’s the same right? :anonymous::bananadead::bananadead:

Just ordered a Mishimoto for my 2nd gen to fix a little mishap I had with a chisel... should be a solid investment with as much idling I do and weight I carry

Quick question yall - are you guys running the 19lb radiator caps that come with these or replacing the caps with a factory spec one?

Did you have to modify the radiator shroud I’m anyway? like the CSF radiator the bottom shroud had to be modified? Also how was the welds and quality ?

I did not modify anything. The shroud dropped in perfect. Weld quality is great
