Misleading product pictures from vendors

I don't know about you guys, but scrolling through websites that are selling Tacoma parts and mods seem to be misleading at times. I'm new to this world and when looking up parts I see price points that seem good for what the picture is portraying but at the same time they're putting parts in the pic that don't come with what is listed. Is anyone else annoyed or confused when companies do this.

 

Caveat emptor.
Know what you're buying - don't just look at the pretty pictures.

 

How would I know what I'm buying when they put in extra parts that are not apart of the product that are attached to the listed part and not putting a description "swing outs sold separately". I know what swing outs are but don't attach them to the bumper if they're not apart of the price point.

 

It's clearly stated in the ad you posted: "This variation does not include swing arms."

 

Shocking.

Not a fan! Not because he's misleading but just because I think he's a not so cool of a dude. Seems to be into himself and his wallet. and his videos suck. IMHO! Usually a 15 minute vid of someone else doing an install. Or he doesn't do a very descriptive install if he does it him self. If you like him good for you. That's what makes the world go around. Youtube and Google seems to like him for some reason. Very generic vids.

 

Some companies will have a disclaimer to the effect that the item pictured is not representative of the actual product. You want to do your own due diligence. Any doubt about what you're getting in return for your $$$ e-mail the vendor to ascertain. Then you have it in writing if they don't deliver as promised.

why are they banned on here and why does this forum dislike him so much? The videos are entertaining and his product website is straight foward. I've gotten one part of there and had no issues but I do try to support my local shops as well. My whole under armor for the truck is RCI.
