I have an opportunity to pick up a spare rim with a matching size KO2 tire for very cheap. However, the tire is E rated where the rest of mine are C. Would there be any harm in running the mismatched tire for a brief, "I need a spare", time? Obviously this would only be done until I get my truck to a tire shop.

I'm guessing more damage would be done by running a new tire with the worn tires.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that, especially if they're the same size. You have nothing to worry about at all.

Just don't drive it on pavement while in 4WD at higher speeds. I won't hurt anything but would feel unstable.

After seeing the little doughnut temporary spares many cars come with.....I would have zero qualms doing what you described.

Great point. Didn't even think about that.
