Misprint in TRD Off Road Specs?

I noticed something the other day and it's been stumping me...

Look at the blue square around the approach/departure/breakover angles on the TRD OR Access Cab Specs:


The departure is listed as 29 degrees, which is better than every single other departure angle across the line by a large margin.

I get that the approach angle goes from 29 to 32 because of no front air dam on the OR
I get that the breakover is better on 4x2 models vs 4x4, because 4x2 has no transfer case to clear.

Is that 29 departure just a misprint copied out of the front breakover column? Looks like almost every other Taco out there it's 23.5...

I understand. But wouldn't the front still affect the rear. When the rear starts going up front goes down...

Unless they mean flat land backing up to incline which more than likely is.

I just assumed it was the prior.

And anyways, if the front air dam being removed did increase departure angle, wouldn't that then carry over to the double cab models too? If you look, the double cabs do not have a 29 departure angle.

 

Looks like there's more than one error. for the TRD Sport since it has taller wheels/tires the departure angle would be MORE than the SR and the OR since they both have shorter tires/wheels.

I think the OP is correct ... the air dam would only affect approach angle, if my front end was already on the hill going up, the approach angle is moot at that point.

Unless of course I was for some strange reason backing UP the hill. Unless of course I got stuck going up the hill and all the numbers are now reversed since my rear would then become the approach.... wait ....

 

You're right, now that I'm looking at it the DCSB 4x2 under the TRD OR has a departure of 23.1, which no other DCSB has. All the DCLB's have a departure of 23.1, though, so it looks like there's yet another transposed number.

Someone at Toyota America must have totally screwed up the excel spreadsheet that got copied and pasted over.

 

The Sport has 17's, but the overall diameter is still the same as the OR because the aspect ratio is different (65 vs 70 on the sport).
