Sooo I’ve almost got my 1999 2.7(230k) dialed. Replaced everything the previous owner “bypassed” with the exception of one thing. EVAP Purge VSV electrical connector. It is no where to be found in the engine. I’ve even cut back a few inches on the VPS plug to see if it was snipped. Nothing. Any ideas where to look, or why it would be missing? Can’t use a gas cap without it as it pressurizes and dumps gas through the vent tube. IMG_5727.jpg

Not sure if this will help or not, but the VSV for EVAP is V4 on the 4th page of the attached document. This is the wire routing for a 1999. If you reference page 3 and 4 you can see what components are also on the same wiring loom and try to find the connector or ends of wires somewhere. There are multiple VSVs in that location and it is possible that they can be plugged into the wrong connector.

The VSV for EVAP wires are W-G (white with green stripe) and W-R(white with red stripe)

That’s incredibly helpful thank you! I’ll cut back the loom and see if I can find this thing
