Missing Items @ Delivery?

Hello Fellow Tacoma Enthusiasts!

I just took delivery of my 2011 Prerunner on Thursday. In the excitement, I neglected to look for the 7-pin adapter for the towing package and a draw bar for the hitch. Toyota's web page specifically identifies the adapter as being included with the towing package.

I've contacted the dealer and they're going to make good on the adapter but they don't seem to think a draw bar is included. I don't want to make a big stink over it, I only want what's supposed to be there at delivery. Nothing is mentioned on Toyota's web page, so I wanted to ask other Taco fans whether they received one or not. To me, a towing package seems a bit incomplete without one - evevn though there are several sizes of hitch balls and configurations available. I got one with the Dodge I bought in 2002.

I have the tow package and I did not get a draw bar. I did get the 7-pin adapter, little cargo net for the center console, and a pack of 4 tie downs.

 

No draw bar included, but did get the 7 pin adapter and console net. Don't think they include that anymore from recent posts I've seen on here.

I didn't get the adapter or the draw bar with my '10, but the adapters are like 7 bucks at autozone IIRC

Yeah....Doubt a draw bar was included. But look at your paperwork from the purchase- That's what really matters.

 

As others said, yes on the adapter, no on the draw bar.

Now make sure that you have the reverse camera plugs (for capping the reverse camera connections if you remove the tailgate) and the little 'cargo net' that goes in the console storage compartment!
