    +1-It's a towing package thing, not a Sport/Offroad/TRD/NonTRD thing...

    Too few to list.
Yep, you're right. I suppose the Sport's I've looked at didn't have the towing pkg so I thought they only came with the off road.

I have a sport and have the oil cooler, but not the transmission cooler (obviously, mine is a 6 speed). I regret not getting the off road :(

Why? Almost the same truck minus the locker.

same except for the shitty skids and the rim size. i like the sport color keyed features but i like the off road rims.

i noticed that i was missing my cooler at the last montana meet and went to a dealer and they said the autos get the radiator type cooler and the manuals (mine) just have fins on the transmission case to disperse heat. i think its better this way because that means theres less parts to go wrong or if i collide head on with something my trans oil wont be all over the road.

I have a '92 TSI (turbo) AWD Eagle Talon and it has the same style oil "cooler" as shown in the link. As said, oil temperature needs to be above 180F for max engine life/min wear. Since coolant temp is usually ~200F this type of heat exchanger keeps the oil about at the coolant temp.

    None yet! It's new!
I wouldn't worry about whether it is efficient... I just towed a trailer with a heavy bike on it for about 1300 miles over multiple mountains, in 80-90 degree temps. It never went over 190. It was usually around 188.

Towing package on an '09 access cab.

    back to bone stock.
thanks for this info. i was staring and staring, looking for the cooling effect.

the porsche 944 had one similar. but the design was defective. when it failed it allow oil and coolant to mix. motors failed. ugly.
