Why is there not a sticky outlining the max tire sizes that will fit stock suspensions and detailing the mods needed to fit popular tire sizes?
Does anyone else think this kind of sticky would be great?

...because why? Is because everyone operates there own Taco off-road shop and works on them all day, and knows all spec variables by heart?

Sweet, so now that this is a purposeless, orphaned thread we can steer it completely off course with random conversation and leave newbies totally confused when they read it!

That's for no rubbing, no modification. You can go larger... but you gotta start trimming the plastics, and eventually some metal.

I need to go down to 33's for my next tires to save money or get a 6" lift (to save money of course), sad to know i'd only be 1" over stock

When I started this, I knew someone could find info on almost any tire & lift, or lift & tire combo, if they looked forever and read through tons of idle chit-chat. I thought it would good to have a database of info in one place and easily searchable by title.
    Something like this..Wheels & Tires
Q: What is the biggest size tire I can fit on my stock Taco?
A: (Blank) will fit. (Blank) will fit with trimming.
Q: What is the biggest size tire that I can I fit with a (A) lift?
A: (Blank) will fit lifting just the front. (Blank) will fit with trimming the front, and lifting the back.
Q: What is the biggest size tire that I can fit with a (B) lift?
A: (Blank) will fit with (black) back spacing, or a (blank) wheel spacer that reduces the stock wheels back spacing of (blank) to the same amount.
Etc., etc.; you get the idea.

There ya go buddy. You should read that sticky.

General rule of thumb, 285's or 33's for 3 inches of lift
35's can be fit under a 6 inch lift.

If you want complete clearance you're going to have to cut the cab mount, but its not neccessary for most applications since you'll rarely hit it.

Thank, Brian. The info is slowly piecing together. I noticed that your info states you're running a 3" leveling kit. When I was on the Ready Lift website they a selling a front leveling kit of 2.25" and say it'll allow 32" tires. Down the page they sell an optional 1" spacer kit if the front kit produces a nose high rearward rake. Now I have more dumb questions. Does the front and the rear need to be lifted to stuff 32s? Do you guys commonly lift only front, or go with something like 3 in the front and 2 in back? I'm all f'd up on this.
