That's awesome. I'd love to SAS mine but first I have to figure out this 4x4 swap I'm wanting to do. Thanks for showing us your truck.

I quit doing Facebook a few years back. Hell I was married for almost two years before it was even on Facebook that I was married. I follow this thread a lot although I don't post much here. My FJ build is on FJCRUISERFORUMS.com. Miss the Taco but I can't say how much of a better built vehicle the FJ is. Hard to believe that they are so much alike yet so different. I'll through up some pics of the new projects almost finished tomorrow or Friday.

    At tex and mod:
I almost bought one as well prior to the 2nd gen. I also was worried about the blind spots too. Truthfully, everyone states the same about the dang blind spots but after a few days driving it became easy to navigate obstacles. Actually you learn where cars need to be in your mirror and I also put a small mirror on the passenger side mirror that lets me see right next to the truck. Other than the blind spots, I have absolutely no complaints! Best rig I've owned in a long time. I would buy the FJ over the Taco any day. But then again it's not for everyone. Some people need a bed and after the way I was treated by Toyota on the Taco as well as the thousands and thousands of recalls. I will not own another one unless they start making them soley in Japan. I'll buy a tundra before a first or second gen Taco. But hey, I'm no expert.

I love FJs. Always wanted one. Just got a really good deal on the second gen and there was no way I could afford a FJ. One of my favorite things about them is the T-case is still manual shifting unlike the tacomas with the electronic bull crap

Just saw 95_taco passing gators. I'm sitting in subway and say you pass. The plasti dip on the hood helps identify you

Yeah it does, and it has proven very useful for that purpose.

Spotted in kiln (at the gas station across from Keith's) this afternoon: red 2nd gen DCSB with a roll bar on the bed with a bunch of lights on it, I remember seeing the truck here on the forum but I don't remember the username.

I have to say I agree with @nightmare in regards to the Taco having issues and that I have also gone to a Toyota made in the Motherland. BTW-I'm a Native Mississippian that has lived out West and now in Music City.
