I have a 12" delta compound mitre saw and it makes a horrible groaning sound after I let off the trigger and the blade begins to stop. It happens most of the time, but not always.
    Anyone had this before?

Check the blade guard make sure there is no crud in it. If its clean, there is probably something wrong with the motor. How old is it?

If it was made in the last 10 years or so they have an electronic blade brake. I bet that is what is making that noise. Take off the housing and blow it out with compressed air. It might help?????
