Gee guys, thanks for the support and Merry Christmas to you too! And by the way, show me where I trashed anyone who buys a Toyota PK.

I havent had the pleasure yet.

Some folks view an insult at the Tacoma, as a direct insult to thier familly. Dont sweat it. Poke around the site, and have fun. :)

We love our Tacos. Everyone here has a little something they don't like about them, that's why there are so many threads about MODs. When I first got my tacoma I too was unsure if I did the right thing by buying it and not the F150 I was also looking at. It took about 4-5 thousand miles before I was completely sold on the tacoma, now I love it. Look around this site it will may help you change your mind, it did mine.

Don't think it matters, because the spare is a compact. If you are anywhere near the payload limit and get a flat, unload the bed or call for a flatbed.

That said, I have never needed to put on the spare in the last 11 years. I had several punctures which resulted in slow leaks. One time the leak was faster, so I pumped the tire back up every 20 minutes until I could limp to the repair shop. Never had a blowout.

Im gonna say it again, as I have in the past. IMHO, I think the Ridgeline gis a good vehicle for what it is. AWD, Decent towing (although at its limit, I feel its under powered), and some dam nice features. No, Its not for people that need a "real" truck, as its off road capability is limited, BUT......It has a strong bed, and tailgate, drives nice, and has great storage. I'd have one if they had more driver leg room, more torque, and a better suspension.

    .
I think the OP comparing our trucks to hondas and Hyundai is silly, if he wanted a car, get a car, this is a truck

I see what your saying , but I would have to ditto on what KenLyns said. If you had any type of load and got a flat, you would be leaving your load or "truck" behind.

I think what bothers me most is, I can't see it as a truck and I feel like that is what the try to market it as. That to me is like calling the Subaru Outback that they made with a bed, a truck, just because they have a bed.

    To each his own though.

It's the perfect vehicle for suburban families that go camping.

Trucks though - they are front engine, RWD, body on frame, live rear axle. They also happen to have beds, yes, but without the spare locked in them.

I know I'm preachin' to the choir with you though.
