So, I used some of that seafoam in my gas tank, I'm still scared to put it in the vacuum system I mean where does all that buildup in your engine go? Anyway, It does seem to help. Smoother (lower)idle and just a bit more throttle response. I figure I will run through this tank of gas, change the oil and spark plugs and I should be good. 80k miles on my '05.

Thanx to all the testers of this stuff :)

I use seafoam in my boat outboard. It removes all the carbon buildup. Good stuff for outboards.

Stuff works too well...I've seen a lot of motors ruined from all the crap that chips off from using it through the vacuum lines.

did this to the wifes 99 grand prix with 160,000 on it...it smoked for a good 30 mins...burnt all kinds of stuff out of there...but then it leaked like you wouldnt believe....All that crud was holding the gaskets together...

We were getting rid of it so i really didnt care, but beware, that dirt might be holding the car together!!!!!!

So then this would be my question. if you used SeaFoam through the vacume system sooner and more frequently would that reduce the level of build up to a point where wouldn't have all the negetive situations. Like lets say every 10K instead of waiting 160K. I mean my rule of thumb with situations like such as auto transmissions was if it had over 70k on it and the trans fluid was never replaced then don't replace it especially if you are starting to notice problems because all you are going to do is amplify those problems.

It'll also eat a catalytic converter if you induce it too quickly...

all the junk that will come out is why I only put it in the gas tank. Had a 80 mile trip today, friggin runs smoother I tell ya. I liked it so much I just put some in my lawn mower... only took me 28mins to mow instead of 30 !!:yay:
