I finally was able to get time off of work. Looks like we will be in Moab for 3 days.

Ive been off roading for close to 16 years. From anything from Jeeps, Trucks, military Vics, dirt bikes, ATV, and SXS. Ive been all over the Rockies, Windrock park, Mojave desert, Glamis, Ocotillo wells, Johnson valley, and all over the south but Ive never been to Moab or been on slick rock like that.

Day one: Top of the world.
    Day two: Chicken Corners.
Day three: Fins an things and poison spider.

That is the plan so far. Do you guys have any tips or pointers?

    The Rig

    2.8” front lift
    3” rear
    Full skids and sliders
    285/75r16

Only issue I see is no high clearance rear.

    Update.

    New trail plan.

    Day 1: Trifecta
Day 2: Chicken corners and onion creek
    Day 3 Fins/things and TOTW

You'll be fine. If your going to do Poison spider, might as well do the whole Trifecta. Which can take a full day though.
    I'd do:
Fins n Things to Hells Revenge; your right next to each other. Can do Chicken Corners after and camp there if you want. Chicken Corners is basically hard pack whole way with some sand.
Trifecta: Poison Spider to Golden Spike to Gold Bar rim.
Top of the World last day, it's a great end trip.

We got an Air BNB in Moab. I’m definitely down to do more trails. I was just unsure of how far it is to travel from trail head to trail head.

My wife wanted to go to Chicken corners as a relaxed scenic route.

I’ll definitely look into those other trail.

Onion creek is on way to TOTW and opposite side of the area from Chicken Corners; FYI
Which is fine, because on the way to Onion creek some scenic spots to stop along the river and such. There's a winery there.

So it would make more sense to do it like this?

    Fins/things and chicken corner
    Onion creek and TOTW

yes. But doing chicken corners then onion creek, you can also implement Fisher Towers into the onion creek afternoon etc. And like I said there's a winery there if you guys into that. Can stop, swim in the Colorado river. But its cold as the Antartic and the current is strong.
However, Trifecta is a long day. Because take, your time. Lots of off shoots the views of Arches and other stuff. Plus, sometimes the Golden Crack can be a good show depending on how busy it is.

We go to Moab every year.
If you get a chance, run Kanes Creek.
    Camped there for a week.
Safe wheeling and post pics when you get back.

Trifecta will be a good challenge and a longer trail, truck should do just fine albeit will probably drag the hitch quite a bit. Did it in basically same form, but hc rear bumper and dragged a bit.
Such a great trail/combo though! Get to see the famous crack, overview some of the highway, etc.

That’s good to hear. I’ve been watching a lot of videos on the Trifecta and how to approach the golden crack. I’ll probably take the bumper caps off to give me a little more clearance if I come off some thing sideways.

I’m eventually going to get a HC rear bumper but I just haven’t gotten to it.

Kane creek is washed out pretty bad. Can be iffy in some spots. Trail mater posted a video about a week ago of it. It was kinda sketch in his jeep buggy. The flooding that took place plus more recent rains did a number on it.

Last time I went, had to winch only 3 times. It was pretty and real fun. Wife went with us and absolutely loved it. Hamburger hill was the most difficult part, we spent all day wheeling it. Lot of fun. Be safe and have a great trip.

I’ve been thinking about getting a camper like that recently. They don’t seem to expensive.

Got a few tie rods just in case and a Moab book.

I was thinking about getting a reman OEM CV axle as a spare.

I carry all that and more. Even a spare driveshaft. The Moab book is worth it's weight in gold. It's how we found the mine trail. Camper has all the comforts of home.

Makes a great place to come back to after a day of wheeling, take a shower and cook up some steaks. I made brownies and chocolate chip cookies in the middle of nowhere. Lol.

Spring over axle lift to the camper, lifted it 6".
    Top of the mine pic.

Looking forward to seeing your trip.

I carry more too. I have a bunch of recovery stuff and tools.

I’ll put the case on the roof rack.
