What’s up everyone! Last year I did a 5 days out in Moab and did some dispersed camping and ran shafers trail and Lockhart basin. I know there is a Moab section here but just doesn’t seem as active. Looking to get some trail recommendations if anyone has some for camping along them. I like to just drive and pull off when I find a nice spot. Don’t like camp grounds. White rim is out of the questions as we got a dog with us. Gonna be there 4 days. 5AD585D9-0E61-4E8F-8E8E-4E0E54D4790E.jpg

Willow Springs Rd has plenty of camping, and is fairly close to town. Just north of Moab proper.

We camped along Kane Creek Rd last fall. Several places to pull over along the route.

What a beautiful area. My dog loved the Moonflower Canyon trail. Nice little pool for him at the end of the canyon.

Is Kane creek tough? I’ve read up on it and everyone talks about “hamburger hill” being reaaaaaaallly rough and difficult.
