working on rounding up some other colorado tacos...so far it's me and 1 other taco from the denver area, hoping to gather a couple more before may...

anyone else bringing their dog(s)? i'm wondering how well a dog will do while bouncing around for 2 days...he's a smaller dog, 25lbs, but really don't want to be the only one stopping every couple hours to walk the dog..even tho we'll be stopped alot at obstacles anyways..

We are a dog friendly group. We have had dogs come out on other trails runs an have never had any problems. For me personally I like the dogs, it's up to you if you think your dog is up the bouncing and possible heat.

Good to hear, the more the merrier!

I always bring my dog with me, she isn't the biggest fan of offroading, but she loves getting out when we stop.
As Jason said, it's your judgement call, as you know your dog best; I'd guess an extra canine will be a fun addition to the group.. might even teach my dog to socialize with other dogs (then again, pigs might fly).

Have any pictures of your furry friend? Looking forward to meeting you both!

he's almost 2 yrs old, shiba-inu (small akita...way too smart, energetic and thinks he's the shit) and quite the hell raiser when he wants to be...he's not the best off-leash so hopefully this can be a good experience for him to learn more off-leash manners...he's not bad hiking high peaks because he's out of his element, but once he gets more comfortable with the surroundings he seems to know the world is at his disposal and want to sniff and eat everything and play, which unfortunately most the time makes it hard to round him back up...but he is great with other dogs so he might be forcing your dog to socialize

Awesome, added you to the list!

Added as well. The bathroom is a 5 minute drive away, a small adventure, but doable quickly in case of emergency ;)

Mineral bottom opned up yesterday though repairs continue. Some delays are still possible at that point on the White Rim Trail. But at least the loop route is possible again now.

This is awesome. I'll be out there from the 12th to the 15th for some mountain biking but maybe I'll see you guys on some trails or maybe meet up at a restaurant one night. I'll keep checking back here for the latest updates.

Hey Jan and fellow Moab attendees. Add me to the list and I'll be camping as well. I will also be staying Monday so Jan you'll have some company. Maybe I should bring my mountain bike....but I'm a bit out of shape.

I think I'm going to try and make this. Been wanting to do Moab and this is the perfect excuse! I might stay at a hotel/motel seeing how I got a 18 hour drive each way. Going to see if anyone else from the South Texas area wants to come.

Excellent, added! Certainly do bring your mtn bike, at the very least it's always fun to mess around on in camp.

Great! That's a long drive, but its oh so worth it! You might want to consider extending your trip, getting an overnight permit for the White Rim trail, and spending a day or two driving that. Continuous, fascinating views. The offroading is quite mild, but there are much better things to do/see/experience in Moab than just offroading.

    Yay! One month too long!

It's true, there's nothing like a trip to Moab.

I'll can almost certainly show up. I only live 3 hours away. My only thought is that some people, like me:D, may want to step it up a notch over Fins and Things/Hell's Revenge. Depending on the route you take, those can be quite tame while flirting with boring. Dare I call them "scenic routes". Admittedly, you can make them tougher depending on the lines you choose.
