Camping by TOTW is like 20 min to town. Or can camp around the sand dune ~10-15 from town

 

TOTW is on the list for sure and @Nazupag524 will be camped up that way too.

Is there any place to shoot out there? I'll have a few pistols, but could throw my AR in for the trip.

 

My only words of wisdom would be to think about how many states you were crossing between Alabama and here and how many different laws apply in between those states.

And bring a tarp to catch your empties

 

Got that covered. I won't go through any state that doesn't accept my AL CCW.

I don't reload, so you're welcome to them. I just didn't know if there was a place to shoot close by. I might throw the AR in the truck just in case.

 

If ya shoot between now and then I’ll always take any brass and separate it if need be.

I’m not sure how it is now, but when I lived in AL there was no state license. It was all governed by the county you lived in and no county granted reciprocity to another. I know now that it has gotten a bit more structured but even when I was living in TN and came to visit you, my TN license became utterly useless when I crossed the AL state line.

Hopefully it is better now. However, ARs don’t fall under your CCW. I am by no means telling you don’t bring it, I’ll probably have mine, but make sure to have your t’s dotted and your I’s crossed on the way out here.

 

It’s Utah. It’s like the worlds biggest shooting range. You’ve never seen anything like this place Phillip. Be ready to have your mind blown.

 

All states I go through will have reciprocity with AL, so my pistols are good. The AR will be in a locked case, unloaded.
