Same with me. Down here it's also the humidity that's not enjoyable, but we have lower temps so I guess it's the same crap.

 

Nice pics and ride. Did you/do you normally ride solo?

 

If need be I will go solo. Would rather have someone to ride with but most of my friends get their skirts caught on the door jam and get hung up. I actually made a post about going out west, but noone posted up. Either way is all good with me. Most of the things I do if I waited for someone else to go or what have ya I would never do any of it. So if need be I will roll out on my own.

I was wondering the same thing. Wonder if there is any camping on the trail too.

 

There are camp spots on the trail by reservation. The wife and I are planning on driving it this summer in two or possibly three days depending on how much hiking and exploring we decide to do. When I made the reservations the ranger told me the road is on good enough shape to do it in one 10 hr day right now. They have done some work to it recently. I can't wait to check it out! Looks beautiful.

 

i have always wanted to go... but never though there would be any kind of 2wd trails??? hmmm something i would actually like to do now... awesome shots!!!!!

Check out the Maze district and San Rafael swell too. With high clearence, a locker and someone to wheel there is quite a few trails and hikes you can you could do.

 

Yeah I did it all in one day. You need 2 days to truly enjoy the scenery.

 

I'd like to get out there one day.

 

come down in May....a bunch of us from colorado, utah and even nj are planning on meeting up in moab

 

I just got back from Island in the Sky. We camped at a couple places but essentially did the whole White Rim in one day. It is a long drive and day. Awesome scenery!

 

Awesome scenery indeed. We did this in 2006 on mountain bikes over 3 days and camped. Not sure on camping reserve and permits b/c our trip was with an outfitter. But as mentioned earlier very little tech, awesome vistas and rock formations.

 

Camping and back country reservations are needed through the national park systsem.

 

Awesome man, the wife and I spent 3 days on White Rim this summer. I really need to get some pics posted up. That is an amazing place. We were only able to go 65 miles in and back out as the road was washed out by the Green River. Still an amazing 3 days!

 

Great pictures. I've got a couple friends back packing some of the canyons in Southern Utah this week.
