I have really enjoyed my three trail runs so far and as a mountain biker, I've always wanted to hit Moab, but @Littles mentioned he went last year to offroad and we talked yesterday about how I'd really like to find a community here in Colorado, so as I begin to meet more of you and get to be friends, I'd like to put together a large group to go to Moab towards the fall of 2018.

My thought is a 5-day trip to hit some of the most popular trails there. Camping preferred as I'd like to enjoy what the outdoors there has to offer.

I'll coordinate and organize all the details, as long as everyone is fine with that.

If you're interested, feel free to leave your name and any info you think is pertinent, such as dates you could to, what you'd like to do, etc.

I'll be watching and updating this thread for awhile.

Please keep the off-topic conversation elsewhere.

    Thanks, guys.

Is there anything for 2018? I'll leave it up to the guys who've already organized it, but it's getting closer and I feel something should be started.

depending on time and where ya'll are going i'd be interested.

I would prefer to stay away from arches if anyone plans on hiking b/c i have a dog (but i also don't mind breaking off and rejoining the group later), I'd love to check out some slot canyons and goblin valley sp!

Keep in mind Canyonlands (all three units) are also mostly restricted when it comes to dogs. There aren't too many actual slots on the Moab side, and neither is Goblin (which does allow dogs on leash) - it's about an hour and a half away. There are several slots on that side though, and in that area, but be sure to read up on them and make sure your dog is up to the challenge (if there is one). I've been in a few of them that could give a dog challenges if they could make it at all. Sometimes there are climbs and very narrow V passages.

I'd be interested later in the year when temps start to drop again. I avoid Moab anytime it is hot there.

I also have a dog and tend to stay out of the NPs for the most part unless just driving through. I know a good campsite that is pretty well off the beating path on BLM overlooking the Island in the Sky part of Canyonlands that can fit a large group. I've never seen anyone else at this spot and it is amazing. Overlooks the White Rim Trail and the other side of the canyon is Canyonlands.

I have 2 dogs, so I stick to as many dog-friendly areas as possible.

I would be interested in a fall trip. I just moved to the Boulder area from Virginia. I have a stock Tacoma Off Road limits me on clearance but i have (Relentless Sliders) not afraid to use them. I looking to do suspension but will probably wait till winter so i can do some King Coilovers. Also i have 2 dogs so i think i am in the same dog friendly boat as most of you.

I'm wanting to go in the fall. I'll only have sliders, tires, suspension, and a lift by then and from what I have heard, we'll be perfectly fine.

I will be bringing both of my dogs with me.

Not looks like I should start getting some real, actionable plans together so people can plan ahead.
