just open mine yesterday, these are great very well made and looks like it should last a long time. only problem is that you can't mount them horizontally, only vertically. i'm trying to put these in my 2015 4runner and there is just no where to put them but horizontally. is there another mounting system for those? thanks for any input.

Oh yeah, without a doubt I know it will hold. My first experience with VHB tape was the Gtekfab door sill protects I got, and as soon as I placed those things down it was like cement. My only thing was I wanted it to look a little cleaner (just my opinion) when/if I didn't have the mount on the base.

That's why I opted for the center console mount.

But overall awesome product....mines been fantastic for the past 2 months and looks 1000x better than anything else out there on the market IMO.

I mounted one button on the blank in the double cab where the air bag switch would be in other versions and then mounted on where the clock should be. I am going back and forth trying to decide which location I like better. I will probably use the upper during the winter and the lower in the summer to prevent blocking the AC vent.

Those mounts won't mess up the dash if we try to take it off later?

From my experience the 4runners do have extreme dash angles and that limits the spots for mounting. Other customers have mounted them down low in the center console area but if you're looking for a more visible spot we just released another product that is a suction cup mount for windshields.

Unfortunately, the GB closed at the end of November.
We do have them for sale on www.mobarmor.com for the standard MSRP which is not too much above the previous group buy pricing.
