I installed a Mobile Strong Drawer System this weekend, and thought I would share! Very happy with it, fits great between the wheel wells on my 5' box and is almost the perfect length. At about 10" high there is still enough room for my 100lbs dog, Kona, to stand up and not hit the top of the Canopy. I currently have my Tacoma Bedmat on top of the drawers for a bit of added protection and grip for Kona. The drawers are made from a Plastic/ Composite, which is part of why I chose them, lighter than the plywood/mdf drawers and no water/ rot issues.

Between the Canopy and the Drawers, the Tacoma may have lost about an 1 1/2" in height. So I have ordered an Icon Leaf Pack to bring the height back up, as I will eventually be lifting the Tacoma anyway.

Milana at Mobile Strong was awesome to deal with, and put up with all my questions and numerous emails. Always got back to me extremely quick, and followed up with me after I received my drawers to make sure I was happy.

I would definitely recommend these! Here is Milana's email for anyone interested. milana@mobilestrong.net

Also installed my Fishers Axe and Shovel with Quick Fists.

Sadly they are about the same as truck vault. About $2K. Awesome though :)

They are about half the cost of Truck Vault, I was about $1000 for mine. Which is another reason I went with them.

Checked out there website and the cheapest I could find (out of sheer curiosity) was $1699...How'd you secure $1k?

Email Milana for a quote, I put her email address at the top. It all depends on how you spec it out. Mine are pretty much just the drawers, no dividers, foam, or top material, etc. I would think if you said you want something similar to what I have she can look up my specs.

Killer, thanks man. I built a drawer setup for my 4runner that turned out pretty well (rebbited joints, hinged lids, 400# drawer slides, etc.) and had contemplated created something for the bed of the truck, but I may just save my time and buy a set.

No problem! I should mentioned the drawers don't run on drawer slides, they have a low friction surface they slide on.

Good to know. I didn't see any slides on the side of the drawers and was curious about that. I need to build a fridge mount/drawer setup behind my drivers seat in my access cab

I figured I would put some slides on the top of the drawers to mount the fridge, eventually.

@ValleyTacoma, how do you like your Mobile Strong drawers thus far? I have been in discussion with Milana about a semi-custom setup and so far she's been really responsive. Is it holding up well? Overall was it worth the investment? I have been debating between Mobile Strong or a custom one out of wood. I also am tempted to build a super cheap platform and hold out for Decked to release a mid-size pickup version.

I built mine, drawers, frame and all, out of 3/4' Multi-ply. Super happy with how well it's held up. If you've got the right tools to make accurate cuts, I'd say build it. Hardware included, my total cost was just under $300. At a minimum, you'll need a table saw for the precise cuts. I used a combination of angle braces and have now supplemented or replaced those with pocket screw joints. See the design and construction in my build-thread in sig. I DO like the looks of those pre-fab drawers.
