After another driving t-boned my Lexus and resulted in insurance totaling my car, I decided with all the crazy things I see while driving, I'm going to install a dash cam in the Taco. Did some research and found the Mobius action camera fit what I needed. This came with a dash cam kit and the camera settings was programmed to run as a dash cam.

I wanted the camera hardwired into the truck so I got a fuse tap connector.

This is the cigarette power adapter. You need this to drop the 12 volts coming from your truck power to 5 volts, which is what the camera uses.

In order to make the wire connection stealthy, I took the power adapter apart and soldered it directly between the usb cord and fuse tap connector

I used the washer fluid fuse to power my camera.

BOOM! All done and ready to roll!

That would be a great place, if I didn't already have my radar detector their.
