selling tailgate reinforcement from Mobtown. Installed and then removed because it didn't work with stock cover and wanted stock look.

Still works perfect if you want to run it alone or are okay with some resistance shutting the tailgate with both of them on.

Curious what you ran into. Mine seems to work fine with the factory tonneau.

My choice of wording was poor. Cover as in the stock plastic skin that was replaced by the metal one. Read that you could place the stock one on top of the mobtown skin but when I do I get a lot of resistance shutting the tailgate. It's no problem if you leave the stock skin off.

Ahhhh. Yeah you might run into problems with the ribbed one. They are in the process of producing non-rubbed that should work perfectly for what you are looking to do

Not at all. I have both pieces and haven't had any issues.

I had same issue that op had with a flat version on my 08.

Great product and on my 08 I just left the factory cove off until I sold it. Unsure if I'll install it on my '17

    GLWS free bump.
