But both the instructions and video on you tube show to use welded bolt in whole at transmission cross member. I left a phone message and an email could you please call. I'm under the truck now

Yes, there is a welded bolt that goes in the transmission cross member. Send a picture of all the hardware you have and I'll help you get sorted out.

That's not the correct piece that goes there. Send a picture of everything you have.

These go in the transmission crossmember. We made it a nut instead of a bolt so the stud doesn't hang down and catch on things.

Makes more sense now. So welded nut side away from me with flat side showing from behind cross member. Also, any idea why the main bolt that we threw out and replaced doesn't want to thread in? And am I only discarding the driver's side one? I only seem to received one...20201111_160829.jpg 20201111_160851.jpg

Do the head of those welded bolts go on the outside or inside of the frame?

The orientation in your image is wrong. The rectangle with the nut welded to it goes in the crossmember. The bolt threads up into it from the outside. The way you have it, the bolt would be in the crossmember with the welded nut screwed on from the outside.

Any idea why the main center crossmember bolt, that we were told to throw out and replace doesn't want to thread in? Also, am I only discarding the driver's side one? Because I only seem to received one this size20201111_160851.jpg ...

Does your original bolt thread in? If so, just use those. There nothing special about the bolts we included. We usually recommend starting with that bolt so the one we include is a little longer to help get it started when the sliders are still half hanging off the truck. Otherwise using the stock bolt is fine.

Didn't try reusing since the instructions clearly said to disregard.

The bolt we include is longer. The additional thickness of the flange of the rock slider makes the stock bolt juuuuuuust long enough. Our bolt makes the assembly easier. What we’ve seen happen is when you remove the stock bolt, the chassis flexes away from the carrier bearing crossmember make the hole out of alignment just enough to piss you off. An impact gun and some pressure and it’ll go.

LOL That was about to be my next move, that retap thread or last resort hit up the friend that can weld. Thank you for your help. Both Sliders are on now! My passenger rear seems a bit saggy, but Seattle weather came in early, so good enough until another day. I believe I read just loosen some of the front bolts to allow to even all out.

Hey just picked up my sliders the other day and I seem to be missing a bit of hardware. This is everything that showed up. I have a 2011 doublecab long bed. Anyone installed the overland sliders on something similar? I'm wondering if all I'm missing is the 3/8" nylon nuts

Hey, hey Joe. At first you were all about helping me with the warranty parts for my truck. The two transfercase brackets that cracked. You said they were warranty items. You told me to look out for a UPS track# but I have heard nothing. I know with finding good help and covid supply lines it is hard for you and maybe some personal thing happened. Could you at least get back and give me an idea of the wait time please? I am holding off on other projects until the NEWER/STRONGER/BETTER brackets arrive. Thanks man hope you do not blow this off. You do not have the reputation of doing that.

I wonder if mobtown went out of business. Their website is down.
