Oh. No, we don’t have instructions for the overlands yet. Sorry

basically, if there is a hole in the chassis and the slider, but the biggest bolt that fits with washers on both sides and a nut.

The instructions are nearly the same. The only differences will be obvious (like you don’t have all the extra clamps that the heavy duty sliders come with). The video will walk you through what needs to be removed from the frame and such. They just bolt the sliders on. If there’s a hole in the mount plate of the sliders, put a bolt in it.

Hey y'all. Just got done installing the overland sliders myself. There are definitely some learning curves involved with them. First off, Mobtown Offroad closes at 3:30 and not 4:30. The email I received when my overland sliders were ready said they would be open 8:00am to 4:30pm. Luckily I got there at 3:30 on Friday as the last guy was closing up. He deserves employee of the month for helping me out. Anyways the sliders for the 3rd gen tacos has a couple extra bolts you don't necessarily need. The main ones are the 1/2" bolts. There are 3 of them and they fit within the rectangular holes in the frame. This is where I found the best spacing for them.

    Word of caution:
Bigger fender washers are needed. The washers that came with the bolt kit were able to slip through the holes in the frame. Since all I had were 3/8" washers laying around, I ended up using a universal bit and enlarging them. Worked like a charm.

The driver side has a lot more interferences than the passenger side. The video does a good job showing what you need to remove (and computer unit and the fuel lines). I found that you don't need to remove the stickers on the frame itself. I ended up using a furniture dolly with 2x10 pieces of wood stacked up on it so I could move the sliders in and out of position as needed. This really helped with figuring out what holes in the sliders were used to secure it.

All in all it took about 2.5 hours to complete by myself. With a friend and without having to drill out washers, I could see it being an hour to an hour and a half job. I would start on the passenger side then move to the driver side (harder) once you figure out a good system to mount it. Overall they look amazing and glad I got them.

If anyone wants, I can send a picture of what mine look like on either side to give you a good reference and hopefully help you along.

We must have passed each other. I was there in the morning. I wouldn't mind seeing a photo or two. It might be a bit before I can get mine on.

I’m glad you got it figured out. I’m sorry about the timing, I had a babysitter issue and I had to leave at 2 o’clock and forgot all about you. We are actually open until 5 PM. My fabricators leave at 3:30, and I stay until five. As for the hardware, that sounds as though it is my mistake. We do include washer is big enough but maybe I had missed them. I need to look at my bags when I get home. Fortunately, you caught the handle deals before I left. Nuts and bolts are no big deal.

Here is what I got for fasteners with each sliders. The 1/2" bolt length is based on memory but I am pretty sure they were the same length as the 3/8". All fasteners seem to be yellow zinc chromate plated. The fender washers that I drilled out were 1.25" OD. The extra 1/2" nuts and washers really through me for a loop at first. I would have loved to see the thick square washers that are used on the heavy duty sliders.

I just uploaded all the pictures I took to an album on my page. (https://www.tacomaworld.com/media/albums/mobtown-overland-rock-sliders.58626/)

    3x - 1/2"-13UNC, 1.25", Grade 8 Hex Head Capscrews
    5x - 1/2"-13UNC Nylon Insert Nuts
    10x - 1/2" Washers, 1-1/16" OD
    6x - 3/8"-16UNC, 1.25" Grade 8 Hex Head Capscrews
    6x - 3/8"-16UNC, Nylon Insert Nuts
    12x - 3/8" Washers, 13/16" OD
    12x - 3/8" fender washers drilled out to 1/2"

I have not. I put some epoxy primer on them and was going to get them Line-x'd, but then Corona happened. So the Line-x joint is closed for right now. I'm kind of miffed because I want to get them on.

Thanks! I got them from tvdvinyldecals.com. Really easy to install. The ones on the tailgate inlay are reflective as well.

I can try to test it this weekend and report back

How much do you guys charge to ship to the. North? British Columbia to be exact. I am looking for a set of rock sliders and I haven’t found many suppliers in Canada!
    Cheers
