In all of those situations, nearly every CC company has the option for temporary card numbers. Also, if you have any fraudulent charges the CC deals with it. If the vendor screws you, the CC company reimburses you. Pretty much all the same as PayPal.

The only difference is that PayPal is a nightmare to work with as a vendor. They freeze your account for no reason, hold the money for as long as they want and make it impossible to do anything about it. This even without customer complaints or disputes. After a year of accepting PayPal and having them freeze 10’s of thousands of dollars for months without any customer disputes, we gave up on them. They suck.

Yes, perhaps from a vendors perspective PayPal (PP) may be a PITA. However, as one who had to clean up a personal data breach, I am less sanguine about the CC and data aggregate companies (e.g., Experian). My situation was nowhere near the nightmare, (I have read), some have experienced. However, I have had the pleasure, where I had to "prove", I was who I said I was. I have always been paranoid. I shred everything physical with my name and address. Electronic data is another issue and to a large extent outside of my control. I did pay for a year or so to have my data watched. My data breach was not on me.

Again PP, offers "security" when a purchaser does not know the vendor and needs to surrender their payment data to transact business (e.g, ebay). PP is a buffer between purchaser and vendor. Purchasers only give the vendor their e-mail address and PP account information. Payment data is not at risk if the vendor is illegitimate or if the vendor has a data breach. The only consumer data that is exposed is the e-mail address and PP credentials, which has little value.

I just think you’re fooling yourself if you think PayPal is any less at risk of a data breech than any other financial institution.

Urr sliders bolt on or weld on. I like tge option to take them off n repaint them but like the weld on prices.
