Shipping is murder on those HC rears. Is $400+ typical to SoCal?

Save 10% this weekend, then it's an extra $150. I am very happy with mine.

To provide insight on freight for bumpers, or any freight for that matter:

Freight rates are calculated by density. The density is what creates the class. You also have the class effected by the product that is shipping. Basically, you want the pallet to be as heavy as possible per cubic inch of space it consumes.

The problem here is bumpers are not heavy at all in the freight world per cubic foot of space it consumes. The freight companies try their best to put 40,000 lbs on their 53’ trucks or 30 standard pallets. A high clearance bumper takes up the foot print of two standard pallets and a bumper on a pallet weighs about 250lbs. So they’re “losing” a lot of money that could be in its place and they have to make it up somehow.

Bumpers unfortunately just suck to ship when it comes to cost in shipping freight but they’re too big to ship ground.

I hope this clears up any questions as to why the prices are what they are.

Do you have any more pictures of the 3rd gen Tacoma low profile front bumper? I like how strong my rear bumper is, so I’m guessing the front is super sturdy as well. I’d really like to see how well it fits and matches up with what is left of the factory bumper.
