    Cool, I worked for the Autodesk simulation ( fea, cfd, moldflow and composites) for years. Glad to see simulation being utilized.

    We are going to bump up the wall thickness on the outer round tube to make a more stout product but even with that we expect the installed weight per side to be 40ish pounds. That is down 30 pounds per side from our steel rock slider.

    I'm assuming they bounced back from that deflection? Or you will measure after your 50 lift test to check for permanent bending/deflection?

    Whatever you coat them in, paint or powder. We don't recommend leaving the contact points between steel and aluminum uncoated because of corrosion.
