Yea. It’s a really hard feature to deal with. That sensor it just so huge and hangs really low. It has to be in same angle and location as stock with no steel in front of it. I think we will tackle it at some point, but probably not until after a few other projects.

Someone needs to take a photo of the sensor so people know what you're dealing with

Finally arrived. I picked them up with my '03.

Every thing looks good but I won't be able to unwrap them for a day or two due to weather. It may be a week or more before I can put them on.

    The wait is almost over.:bananadance:

OK, first things first.....MobTown rocks! Those guys set the bar for design. If you want sliders you don’t need to look any farther. Now regarding me. I took two days to do the install (I’m 68 cut me some slack). Driverside first as there is a bit more work involved, passenger side is a breeze when compared. Directions are straight forward but a second pair of hands would be really helpful. Also, must haves are jack stands and a trolly jack to center the sliders up with the carrier bolt. Couple of thoughts, I used a bit of axle grease to hold the lock washer on the rectangular washer in step 6. Wish I had an idea to make installing the long handled washer in step 10 easier. Just use patience and your wife’s fingers.

On my Tacoma there was a plastic covered box bolted to the outside of the frame rail on the passenger side, I can’t find it referenced in the directions but you do need to remove it and reinstall later. And finally I should know this but whats the purpose of the beam clamp instep 16?

The long handled washer certainly takes some patience but with a second person it is not bad.

Step 17 shows the box on the outside passenger side of the chassis that you move forward.

Beam clamps on step 16 reduce twist in the chassis at the back end of the slider so you are not just relying on the one bolt all the way to the back of the flange that bolts to the chassis. Plus, the slider past the last square leg is quite long to the end so it will see a good amount of force. Again, the beam clamp helps with that force.

Thanks for the tips, it gives me something think about before I start. I plan on attempting the install by myself only calling in backup if needed. BTW, I'm a young 57 so this should be a breeze, right?

Shouldn’t be a problem for such a young kid! I needed to keep the pictures close at hand to compare when laying on your back. Don’t underestimate the need for that jack. Getting that first bolt in the right position makes all the difference in the world.
