So when I install mine this weekend I will be using the OEM plastic skin over the top of the reinforcement. I seem to remember reading something about some minor trimming being necessary-Is that true? If so can someone educate me on what needs to be trimmed?

It will be pretty obvious once you see it. There are a few little plastic tabs on the back of the stock skin that need to be trimmed off.

Just got mine today. install took all of 20 minutes including trimming the three tabs. I ordered the bolt kit, but ended up not using it for now. I reinstalled the factory tailgate panel over the top. very nice fit and I now have all the confidence I need that my tailgate won't buckle under load.

Were the original screws long enough for both the reinforcement and the plastic panel?

They seemed to be. the factory skin fit right over the mobtown reinforcement skin, so there was only the thickness of that skin added to the what the screws need hold down.

No problem. I knew I would be at the hospital for a few days while my son was born so I got as many orders out on Tuesday as possible. You just made the cutoff for super fast shipping.

Fast shipping by day, delivering a son by evening.

Your first woman is like your first bike. It's red, a little too big and usually an older person steals it from you.
