    Will a can or bottle of (soda) fit between the ribs flat? The stock plastic is terrible for setting your drink down it’s always gotta be placed right in the center of a rib

    It doesnt fit between the ribs. Most guys buy the ribbed plate for using dirt bikes or quads. The smooth one is better for table top.

    You don't need to, but I would highly recommend you do. The cost isn't that much compared to the part itself, and you will really like having you. You will be surprised with how little support there actually is under that OEM skin. I would also highly recommend you invest in a rivnut tool, I have gone in and changed out all the plastic clips under the hood with rivnuts and it looks fire, not to mention no more fighting not breaking those plastic clips. I've used the rivnuts on my bed rack as well, the applications are endless and the tool makes it a breeze to install. Pick it up at harder freight for cheap.
