    Good morning everyone,

It is with great sadness that I announce that Mobtown Offroad has officially been sold and closed.

It has truly been a pleasure serving the Tacoma community over the years and I want to thank everyone who has supported us.

I have been refunding the few remaining orders that weren't fulfilled, but the website, email and social media platforms were shut down faster than we anticipated by the buyer and their legal team with the sale of the company. I haven't been able to ge to all of them yet but have been working diligently to ensure everyone gets the money that they are owed.

Please forward your invoice to refund.mobtownoffroad@gmail.com and evidence stating that you did not receive your product or a refund.

Thank you for your patience and understanding and I apologize that it took this long to come out and make an official statement. There have been a lot of moving parts and complications in the background.

    Thank you, Joe.

As a manufacturer myself, I salute you for having the courage to make something and do it on your own. And remember, the worst thing for an entrepreneur is not failing; the worst thing is not having ever tried. God bless.

I thought something was up when I tried to check out the site the other day. Best of luck on your future endeavors. Bad time to ask what size hardware goes to the rear of the mid skid? Picked up a used plate :D

It reuses the existing 4 bolts in the transmission cross member. If you have both a mid and a transfer case skid, that's when you replace the bolts with longer ones. grade 8 3/8" diameter, approximately 1/2" longer than the existing cross member bolts.

Sounds like a competitor wanted you out of the way. IF that is the case, congrats!!

Well, I'm glad that I got my bank involved when you guys were continually ignoring my emails looking for updates on my order. I'm one of the customers who payed for products back in May, and was ignored over and over. Some shitty customer service. It was pretty easy to figure out that your customers were not a priority for you, long before you announced the closing of your business.

Wow....aside from what I've read around here very recently, I've always heard good things about your products and company, Joe. Sad to see ya go, but good luck in whatever you're working towards, and thanks for all you've done for the Taco community over the years. :bananadance:

No one cares. Joe never had to come back and say anything and never had to offer refunds. He could have bailed like Pelfrey and the others and just left everyone hanging.

Many of us here have their products and their customer service was top notch. They were one of the better companies to work with, active on the forums and cared about their customers.

    So...

Should I stop tearing my skids up now that they're limited edition or something?

I'm glad that you had a good experience. It was the many good experiences like yours that led me to choose their company to purchase armour from. Unfortunately, I am one of the many people that happily payed for goods and then was quickly ignored. Experiences vary I suppose.
