Hmm not sure I can get a drill into it from the outside, but I could drill out the slider from inside the frame. Might have to go that route I guess.

I think you have the bracket on the wrong side. That bracket should line up with a bolt that passes through the chassis. Not that clip.

I'm pretty sure you're using the passenger side bracket on the driver side. You have them switched.

I'm pretty sure you have something incorrect.

That's possible. Put them on after a 10 hour day at work in a 100* shop.

Ok, so this is driver's side. The bolt is sticking out through the l-bracket, and I'm pointing at the hole I thought it should have been. This wire box thing doesn't fit well over this bolt w/square washer and nut, but is this right?

    Very nice testing!
About how much do the 2016 tacoma bolt on sliders weight? I am interested in double cab short bed version with fill plates.

This does not match the pictures on the instructions you posted recently, this is where I was trying to put it but it doesn't line up.

Awesome. They were designed to get bashed on. A Hi-Lift test is cake for them.

This weekend isn't conducive to offroading. I hate clean up mud, especially the clay around here. Maybe next weekend

We realized we made a minor error on the instructions. The formed "L" clamp points to the front side of the square tube on the double cab long beds and on the double cab short beds it flips and points to the rear of the square tube. We made our instructions from a long bed. I am going to fix them this week.

K, so I did have the wrong bracket at first. But I'm still not sure how to reattach the wire box, with a steel washer, lock washer and nut under it I couldn't get it to go on far enough to get the nuts back on it. Even tried pounding it through with a hammer but there's just not enough room under it to fit all that stuff.

Hmm, that is odd. Can you send me a photo detailing what you're speaking about? This is a first for us.

Ok I've edited the one I uploaded the other day. The part of the L bracket that is behind the frame is approximately outlined in green, and this is on the driver's side. The two holes I've circled in red are where the wire box was mounted originally. If I put on one of the square washers, locking washer, and nut onto the bolt in the green area, then put the wire box over it, the screws from the wire box don't stick out far enough to get the nuts onto them, and I'm not sure if it goes on far enough to get the c-clamp over it either (it looked like it might, but I wouldn't want to leave it without getting the nuts on to secure that wire box).

Sorry the truck is so dirty, makes it a bit tougher to see. :)
