I think these things would look so much better if they were sprayed with that bed liner stuff. Might be more durable than powercoating no? Sadly for what i want out of your rock sliders is at the top end of your price range since I have a DCLB. :(

Bed liner peels off when it comes in contact with rocks. And is a pain to touch up

This. You can easily touch up powder with a little spray paint. Bedliner not so much.

No, I took them to a shop. For $150 (which is apparently cheap compared to what others have said) they sandblasted then coated them. They went over with a final coat of premium so they won't fade. They were a bitch to put on because of the tight tolerances too with addition on the coating.

If you go with a liner of any type, do not have the entire thing sprayed. By that, I mean where the brackets start to go under the truck that you won't see, spray them with VHT Epoxy paint. I did all the extra mounting brackets with that, but had the entire main piece sprayed and had to literally jack them on the frame.

If I would have thought before hand, I wouldn't have them spray the whole thing. However, they are doing great and haven't faded or anything. I really like the look and the texture because my wife and kid use them as steps, so they are nonslip really.

That's why i like the texture you did. I have the stock cast aluminum ones that have the sad paper feel. I love them as steps but can't use them to jack up the truck if I ever needed to. :/ only have 556 miles on my truck too. Tires get mounted tomorrow and hopefully lift on friday :) want to keep boards on because prevents people from banging my truck with their doors. Im always careful whenever I park next to anyone... I've never hit someone else's door. I have seen many people do it to other people's cars and i call them out on it.

No matter what you do, sandblasting is key. We do it when we powder and recommend it for anyone. It makes adhesion top notch and makes a huge difference in durability and finish.

You'll love these then because they stick out nice for people to door dig them instead. Plus, rocks and stuff won't chip up the LineX so no worry for chips or rust.

Looks like it is on track to ship on or before second week of September. I'll be sure to send tracking once it goes.
