I asked our powder coated to make them a priority. He's been a bit backed up but so are we.

For sure. He won't rush and do a poor job. Just asked him to move me ahead of the other jobs he has going.

gave the newly installed sliders a dirty work out this past weekend, couldn't be happier. As a side benefit, they come in handy as step for the roof rack.

Not great. I don't recommend powder to people who plan to actually use theirs sliders for their intended use. We take all the proper steps to insure the best costing possible but it'll steel scratch.

Luckily powder touches up easily and blends really well with a satin spray paint.

I still like powder coat. It's a lot of work to get a set of sliders painted well. Someone else does all the prep work and the mating surfaces will be perfectly coated for many years. Areas that contact rocks can be easily touched up.

^This is a good point. It does take FOREVER to properly prep, prime and paint them. Took me 6 hours to do mine and they still didn't look at that great.

Sure did. I can ship them this week with a paid order.

PM me so I can get the essentials from you to get the order place.

Will need a name, billing address, shipping address (if you have a commercial address with a loading dock or forklift. If not it will go to a trucking terminal closest to your home address for pick up), phone number and email.

Yeah. I was wondering if the extra texture that the hammer tone finish provides is any better at standing up that flat black. I had a few auto parts that have come coated with it in the past. Stood up to abuse really well but I never scraped them on rocks.

I'm going to avoid prep going forward if I can. The pieces are too big and make for a real PITA. I have my can of VRT ready for any touch ups that will be needed.

The texture is a little tougher than flat. Nothing escapes rocks.
