Honestly it is probably longer at this point. In the one day that the sale has been live we’ve sold about 20 skid plates. And, we are in the middle of moving our shop. Unfortunately, I am on travel for the next five days so I can’t even update the website with a more accurate lead time. If you are concerned about 4 to 6 weeks, as much as I’d love to earn your business I don’t want to lie to you To get the order.

No problem. Just wanted to get a sense of wait times so I can do my own planning/scheduling.

I understand. If you do place an order, feel free to check in with us at any time for a status update. It is a pretty common occurrence and we always get back to the customer within a business day.

Are the Mobtown skids and sliders better than RCI or BAMF?

They are all different thicknesses. BAMF has 1/4” skids clocking in at 200 lbs for all 3. Mobtown has 3/16” skids and RCI comes in at the lightest but they aren’t as thick. It all depends on what your application is.

The mobtown sliders are arguably the best because of the way they bolt on. They’re stupid strong.

BAMF skids aren’t exactly comparable because they’re thicker, but imo the mobtown skids are better than RCI. There’s just nothing special about them and people regularly report fitment issues with them. Plus their ifs skid has this weird lip on the front that interferes with pretty much all aftermarket bumpers and people have to cut it off.

I went to the shop yesterday and picked up my sliders. For those who might be on the fence. These things are beefy, sexy looking, and the welds look top notch. Joe was very friendly and took some time to talk to me about his products, his sweet 4Runner, and his designs. You can tell he is passionate and dedicated to making top notch Toyota armor and accessories. I will be getting more mobtown armor in the future.

Asking that question in the manufacturer's own thread isn't particularly wise in my opinion...lmao

I'm curious, why do you think that? Seems like a reasonable question to me.

I really appreciate the honestly. Ordered a rock slider from y'all a bit ago. I pretty much assumed ordering it during a sale would add a couple weeks lead time. *shrug* And thank for offering a generous sale as a small business.

This is why he can’t get shit done and his lead time is a gazillion years.

Joe needs to quit being so nice and put his nose to the grinder.

Edit: Can I get my sliders before October please?

Yeah you are right I should have drove almost 4 hours and threw em in the truck and left as soon as I got there. I doubt the maybe 20 minutes we talked held your sliders up

I don't suppose there is any chance to get a pair built to the old spec? I'm guessing that jig is history......
