Do the skid plates work with the arb bumper?

 

Its really not hard. Helps a lot to have another person to hold while you bolt, but I used a jack stand and that works if you're by yourself

 

I'd prefer not to. I am sure you get it but when I am off work the last thing I want to do on a weekend is more work. Plus, most of the time when I come up there I am alone with two young kids (2-1/2 and 7 months) so trying to keep them in line and work is not really that easy.

 

And me. Keeping me in line is the hardest job you've got.

 

How well do sliders fit in a short bed? I would only be driving 1.5 hours.

 

They fit with the tailgate down or up. Just need a strap to secure them in either orientation. You will be fine, we have constant pick ups in our shop with short beds picking up sliders.
