I just ordered the tailgate reinforcement with ribs. Has anyone put factory plastic cover back on overtop ribbed model or will it make cover stick out to much for gate to close?

 

I've had people state that it doesn't fit well because of the ribbed feature and others say it does. I installed it on my truck with no interference.
