Are we good to go on this? Is it just a matter of getting a truck measured now?

I think we are good for a first run of 10. I'll post when we are ready to get commitments. If people are anxious to reserve one from the first batch, I could post a link on the website next week to preorder them. It will probably be about 6 weeks before they are ready for shipping. It seems like the 1st ten will go fast.

Definitely interested but maybe 2nd batch. I've spent too much money already on a truck I don't have my hands on yet lol

I agree with McDerper X2. I'd rather you owe me than me owe you. I am very pleased with my locking storage doors. Now if I can only find or make some hinge gaskets. Kool foam tape should do the trick for keeping dust and moisture out. I especially appreciate that both doors are keyed alike. Your Customer Service is excellent. I called to report that one of the doors arrived scratched and after sending pics of the damage my new door arrived within the week. Who could ask for more?

Wow, that's an interesting perspective. I would have guessed many people would rather wait until everything is done to pay, but I like your spirit.

Thank you. It's something we try really hard at. I know that customer service makes or breaks my views on a company. Whether it's personally or with a business vendor, if they don't handle an issue or I can't get a hold of someone, it really irritates me. The worst are emails that don't get returned. I will stop doing business with companies that don't reply to my emails. So, we try to do everything we can to keep our customers happy. We can't please everyone, but we can do the little things to show we are trying.

We'll have all the measurements we need tomorrow and the design will be completed in the next couple days. I'll post a link for pre-orders as soon as we start manufacturing. They will look nearly identical to our 2nd versions, just with difference dimensions to fit the 3rd gen.

    Your wait is almost over!

Are these going to be bare metal, or pre-powder coated? I would prefer bare metal as I will most likely get the skin Line-X'd and the cap powder coated.

Powder coated textured black. It's pretty durable. I beat the living crap out of mine and only have a few places where the powder coat scratched off. As you can imagine, I'm always sliding steel in and out of my truck for work.

Will the tailgate cap wrap towards the outside of the tailgate? The factory composite cap has a lip that extends down the outside face of the tailgate by maybe 1/4-1/2". I'd love it if you could match that shape. Reason I'm saying that is this: I put my canoe on my roof rack this weekend by sliding it over the tailgate cap and up onto the roof. Without that lip, the canoe would rub on the paint.

I am designing it to fit underneath the oem plastic cap for the exact reason you stated. Should have it released some time today, just about done now.
